Motorcycle Riding - Where to Stay Along the Way

With the saddle bags all packed, the motorcycle ride ready, and the leather gear and helmet on, it is time to hit the open road. Riding on a motorcycle gives the rider the experience of being right out in the scenery. The rider is one with their bike and their surroundings.

There are many places to stay along the way. These choices range in price, depending on whether a biker wants to rough it or have some luxury along the way. One choice is to stay in a regular motel, which is usually one or two stories, with a basic room that comes with one or two beds. These are usually not to fancy, but come with all of the necessities a traveler gets to have to sleep and get started the next morning. There are hotels that will be multi level with the rooms being a little nicer, to a lot nicer. A lot of the hotels these days provide a complimentary continental breakfast or a full breakfast for their guests. This can be a very welcomed perk.

There are also hotels that are referred to as Inns. These have the option of having a mini kitchen, or a full kitchen depending on the inn and the option the traveler chooses. This can be a good option for those that would like to cook their own food, instead of a continual on slot of eating out. Along with the Inns there are also time share condos that rent out their condos that are not being used by the owners. This is a good option especially in the slow season for the specific area, as they can be very reasonably priced. The hotels, inns, and condos will also have a swimming pool, and other amenities that will come with the stay.

Another option would be to pack a sleeping bag, small tent, and small propane single burner stove on the motorcycle and stay in campsites along the way. This is for those that enjoy being out in their surroundings for the full trip, not just while on the road on their motorcycle.
